Tax Software
TurboTax Business
TurboTax Business is Intuit's business tax line — the S-corp (1120-S), partnership (1065), C-corp (1120), and trust (1041) counterpart to the TurboTax everyone knows. For the 2025–2026 season Intuit renamed its expert tiers: "Live Assisted" became TurboTax Expert Assist and "Live Full Service" became TurboTax Expert Full Service.
One structural catch decides which version you need: the online products don't support C corporations at all. Form 1120 (and 1041) lives only in the Windows desktop product.

- TurboTax Desktop Business — $190 federal, 5 federal e-files; state sold separately; Windows 11 only, no Mac
- Expert Assist Business (online, with expert help) — Intuit's hub showed $229 federal for sole proprietors and $639 federal for S corps/partnerships in July 2026, while the product page simultaneously advertised "starting at $79" — treat online pricing as seasonal and confirm at checkout
- Expert Full Service Business — $1,549 federal for S corps/partnerships (experts prepare and file for you)
- A TurboTax Expert 365 Business subscription ($61/month) appeared in Intuit's lineup this year for year-round expert access
Pros and cons
Pros
- The most polished interview-style filing experience in business tax software
- Real expert escalation paths, up to a full hand-off
- Multiple businesses on one desktop license is genuinely good value
Cons
- Online tiers can't file C-corp returns — desktop (Windows-only) is mandatory for 1120
- Expert tiers get expensive fast, and displayed prices move during the season
- State returns are always extra
Who should use TurboTax Business?
Pick TurboTax if you want maximum guidance filing your own entity return — it holds your hand better than anything else consumer-priced — or if you'd pay a premium to hand the whole thing to an expert without finding a local CPA. Confident DIY filers with a simple S corp or partnership can save real money at TaxAct; Mac-based C corps need to look elsewhere entirely.
Rating, for context: 4.5/5 on Capterra (274 reviews) — as of July 2026.
FAQs
Can I file a C-corp return with TurboTax online?+
No. Form 1120 is desktop-only (and Windows-only). Online supports sole proprietors, partnerships (1065), and S corps (1120-S).
How much is TurboTax Business in 2026?+
The desktop product is $190 federal. Online expert-assisted tiers ranged from a "starting at $79" teaser to $639 for entity returns in July 2026, with Full Service at $1,549 — Intuit adjusts these during the season, so check the live price.
